I was contacted recently by a mama who had just given birth naturally to twin boys, and she shared one of the most amazing birth photos I have ever seen. Having experienced natural twin birth myself, I felt compelled to create a very special piece for her and her midwife to celebrate the occasion.
My twin girls were born naturally in a hospital as well, and if her midwife had to go through half of what mine did to make that happen, then she deserves some serious props!
So this is the piece I created for this amazing mama, her incredible midwife, and these 2 precious baby boys… I love how in the photo they are still enjoying all that good stuff the placenta still has to offer even after delivery!
One babe was born in the water, and the other on the bed, so she wanted me to show, in a very subtle way, the difference in their skin tones after they were born. We were both pretty thrilled with how these pendants came out, and I am always just so honored to be able to participate in some small way the celebrating of such a momentus occasion!
