This weekend is Vermont Craft Council’s Open Studio Weekend, and Family Tree Glass is combining forces once again with fellow local glass artist John Chiles to offer 2 days full of glassblowing demonstrations, a sale, and the opportunity to make your own ornament (for ages 7+, see link for more details).
We will have our torches set up at John’s studio at 690 Route 73 in Orwell, demonstrating flame-sculpted lampwork techniques, and John will have his hot shop up and running, pulling hot glass out of a vat and blowing it into beautiful vessels and ornaments. Stop by and visit anytime between 10-5 on Saturday and 10-4.
