First Winter in Vermont

I went into the studio this week and felt inspired to make some colorful leaf pendants… spring fever perhaps?Actually, I’ve been enjoying our first winter in Vermont. We have the best sledding hill ever right in our backyard, and I swear before the end of the season I will embarrass myself on some ice skates too! It is just beautiful here, and it makes me want to be outside breathing that frigid air as much as possible.
And I’ve been getting plenty of opportunity, as it has been too darn cold to run our studio as much as we’re used to. I am used to freezing my butt off out there, that is all part of working in a hot glass shop… there’s no sense in heating the studio when you have to keep the exhaust fans running non-stop. But we’ve been having quite a few single digit and below 0 days recently! So, while I wouldn’t quite call it spring fever, I’ll take a nice warm 30 degree day anytime now, Mother Nature!
